Anu & Josh wanted to design a couple days that reflected their appreciation for their cultures & families, their love of natural environments, and of course their love for each other and the little things that they both enjoy - like their love of literature! We started with creating a logo that combined a double happiness symbol and a lotus flower design - important symbolism to their Chinese & Indian heritage. We customized their Minted invitation suite with the logo, AND incorporated it into lighting, as well as day of stationary, and even gifts & favors!

Sangeet
The Sangeet on July 19 was held at the beautiful Luminare space - they definitely wanted a big focus on the dancing and Anu & Josh had another special request for this date - they wanted to incorporate their two adorable cats, Obi & Eevee!

Wedding
For the wedding day, we wanted to definitely have shades of reds & coppers, auspicious colors for both, however once Anu found her perfect outfits, the copper tones we planned on for the mandap drapes clashed a bit! We changed gears to a muted pink, and it worked as a perfect backdrop for the combinations of reds and natural toned florals Amber at Ediflorial put together - and of course all the gorgeous outfits of the day!

Reception
For the reception we added a personal touch by tying in Anu & Josh’s love of books. For centerpieces Ediflorial created beautiful florals in our copper pots, and we alternated that with glowing floating candle vases to add to the mood. Anu & Josh picked a meaningful or favorite book for each table, and a handwritten note of why it was special to them - this provided interesting piece of engagement for the guests, and though Anu & Josh had meant to donate the books at the end of the night, most of them actually disappeared! (they were all pretty awesome books). Though favors seem to have gone out of favor, Anu & Josh filled a beautiful bag with a variety of their favorite teas and sweet treats, and these were definitely appreciated by all the guests.
